The Arafune Wind Cave, the largest of its kind in Japan, is the site of a silkworm egg storage facility. Because of its historical value, the wind cave is registered as UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE Site. It is a rare historical site that still maintains the same cold wind environment as when it was in operation, with a cool breeze of around 2 degrees Celsius even in summer.
