Prefectural Forest Park – Sakura no Sato

Cherry Blossom Viewing Marche

Every year we hold the “Cherry Blossom Viewing Marche” to feel the spring in Mt. Myogi.

(From the Shimonita Photo Contest)

Located at the foot of the southern face of Mt. Myogi, This park is reminiscent of Shangri-La with about 5,000 cherry trees of 45 varieties blooming on its vast grounds.

When you look back, the majestic Mt. Myogi peaks above you, and the contrast between the colorful blooming cherry trees is worth seeing.
You can enjoy strolling around the park from mid-April to early May every year for cherry blossom viewing.
