Kumano Shrine

Located at the top of Usui Pass, it used to be called “Usui Gongen” or “Kumano Gongen”.

The Kumano Shrine, which stands on the border between the two prefectures, is called “Kumano Shrine” by Gunma Prefecture residents and “Kumano Imperial Shrine” by Nagano Prefecture residents, and the border can be crossed on foot.
