Abuda Fukujuso no Sato

The “Fukujuso” (Adonis) flower, known as a symbol of happiness that announces the arrival of spring in Shimonita, blooms with small golden flowers when bathed in sunlight.

In the garden, which is maintained by local volunteers, Fukujuso and red plum blossoms color the hillside. It has become a popular sightseeing spot where visitors can enjoy strolling through the satoyama landscape and taking photographs.

Nearby are two famous scenic destinations: Myogi Mountain, one of Japan’s Three Great Scenic Wonders, and Gunma Prefectural Forest Park “Sakura no Sato.” Visitors can enjoy the beauty of spring in Shimonita by exploring these sites together.
